best quebec nabe for ladies wkend
I am starting to plan a ladies weekend for Fall '07 with a few friends. We want to rent an apartment in Quebec but we have no idea about the neighborhoods. We would love a centrally located, picturesque area that is nice to walk around in, has good restos/wine bars and hopefully some good live music places. Any suggestions??

Anywhere within the city walls is great, as the old city is fairly compact and its all scenic and safe.
The upper part of the old city has the great views, the lower part has the waterfront and lots of small shops. There are also lots of places to stay just outside the walls, and on the Grand Ailee, which is a fun (but noisy) place to be.

Look here at apts located either Vieux-Port or Vieux-Québec. I've rented from them before. All are top notch places.
