Best hotel in Halifax

Heading to Halifax this summer for a long weekend in August. Curious as to what are the nicest hotels in Halifax. Thanks in advance!

Stick to the downtown area, either Delta is nice (there are 2, right across the street from each other). The Sheraton is nice as well. But my fave is the Westin..Sunday brunch there is AWESOME!! The tourism websites will help you make your choice.

If you are searching for something a little more intimate, try the Haliburton House. All the rest are similar large chains that operate in other place in the country. You won't be disappointed in the Sheraton, Ramada or Westin although the Westin has more charm but an older facility.

I think the Delta hotels are great, but more geared to the business traveler. I really like the Prince George Hotel....first class quality. And I second the vote for the Haliburton House if you want something smaller.

Why not try the newly built Marriott: Residence Inn....right in the heart of the City near the Pubs and great Restaurants. Just a short walk down the hill to the Grand Parade and the waterfront. Not many know about this place yet!
