Bear watching in Ucluelet

Jump to last reply

We were just in Ucluelet and saw these bears at the fish hatchery. We were around 12 to 15 feet away from them on a walkway on the one side of the river. You have to be on your toes though because the bears will come up and use the walk way as well. They are not interested in us however, just the fish that are coming in to spawn.
Here is a little video of them if you are bear lovers. The Fall is a great time for bear watching on the west coast.
