Hi all, I'm heading up to Vancouver for the U2 show this week and I wanted to ask about BC Place. I've never been (to the stadium, that is) and I can see online that it's open-air. I'm thinking that it's bound to be cold this week and I'm wondering...here in Seattle, they close the roof, which warms the stadiums up quite a bit. Should I dress to freeze my tail off? Is there a roof/does it make a difference anyway?
thanks for any advice!
karen

BC Place is not open air. Unless the roof rips open like it did a year or so ago.
Where are you looking online that said it was open air?
This is a photo of it...

There are plans to give it a new, retractable roof, but for now it has the original puffy white one. The building is an air lock - the roof is held up by air.
It will host the Opening and Closing ceremonies for the Winter Olympics - the first time they will be indoors.
So... you won't freeze!
cool-thanks! I don't know where I got that idea. Maybe in my sleep.
Have a good night!
