If anyone has a preference for specific B & B's while touring Nova Scotia, would you mind sharing them with me. I've never been and plan on taking my 77 year old mother next August or September. We are both retired educators, so we were't planning on staying in ritzy hotels.
Thanks a bunch!

Where are you planning to stay in Nova Scotia?
I liked the Garden View B&B in Halifax, it's about a 15-minute walk however from The Parade, Citadel, etc... some people prefer to be more centrally-located. However, I agree with Arts Babe... we need a sense of where in Nova Scotia you wish to prioritize... it's a pretty big province!
If you want the best B&Bs in Nova scotia I would recommend the website for the Nova Scotia B&B Association "www.nsbedandbreakfast.com" . As others have said, if you want specific recommendations, let us know what areas you will be visiting. It would also help if you said what type of accommodations you need. Do you need one or two rooms? Do you want twin beds or is a queen/king satisfactory? Do you want private ensuite baths or will shared baths suffice? etc
Cheers

Again, don't know where you are planning on staying in NS but if in Cape Breton, you may want to stay a night or 2 @ The Gowrie House. It's a 19th century Georgian home with 10 rooms, each beautifully furnished. The GH is located in Sydney Mines which is about 35-40 minutes form the Sydney airport. It is also not far from Louisbourg.
