We are looking at going to PEI and NS with our family this summer. Can anyone tell me which part of PE island has the warmest, swimmable water and the best beaches? Any recommendations for cottages? Thanks

Hmmmmmmm, haven't I heard that at least one particular spot on PEI has the warmest water for swimming in the north Atlantic??? (Don't know the exact place, but I do think you're on the right track)
Cavendish is a popular destination - lots to do and great beaches. Rustico is another. In NS you want to check out Pictou Co. which has some of the most beautiful white sand beaches with the benefit of warmer water. Melmerby is a provincial beach but there are plenty of small spots that are incredible.
Warmest water is in the South Shore ( the Strait sise . Keppoch , Kinlock , Canoe Cove , etc.
