Athabasca Walks

Jump to last reply

We are leaving soon for a six day tour of the Canadian Rockies- three nights In Banff, two in Jasper and one in Lake Louise. Of course, we are doing the Columbia Icefields and we have booked a three hour walk on the Athabasca Glacier. The bus tour on the glacier does not seem to get good reviews but, from what I have read, the Icefield walk gets positive ratings. I am wondering, considering our time frame and the nearly $100 per person cost of the walk, if this is a good use of our time and money. Any thoughts? Hiking and photography are high on our lists!
