I wish I had known about this place before my Tundra Buggy trip. I did have a great time doing the Tundra Buggy Lodge experience (trip report coming Real Soon Now), but I was too early in the season. But this place would make a summer trip possible.

On our limited budget DW and I went to Churchill by train from Winnipeg. We hired a taxi near the train station along with a Japanese tourist. We all saw 1 polar bear on the other side of a little inlet. This was a lot cheaper than anything involving flying or a tundra buggy.
We got back on the train 12 hours after we got off it in Churchill.

Thx a mint for the link - I'd not heard of this at all and would be a great way to see the polar bears. Love the respectful nature of the guide.
Only problem would be if we caused a bear to be shot because we were wandering in its land. I'd be tormented for the rest of my life, without exaggeration. They are such amazing creatures. Our Tundra Buggy Lodge trip was wonderful and we've talked about doing it again some time. Maybe we'll look at this instead.
