Trip Report Alberta Trip Report

Jump to last reply

I just returned from a trip to Edson Alberta.
What a beautiful province.
I really didn't do anything much except enjoy the company of my friends.... ate, drank and was merry.

We went to the mountains one day and went to Meitte Hot Springs. They are not too far from Jasper and are the hottest springs in Canada. What a beautiful view of the mountains while laying in the hot pool.

We also visited West Edmonton Mall, and it really is huge. We were only there for a couple of hours, but it was great to see it. I'd been there once about 15 years ago, and I'd forgotten how big it is.
Of course, I spent money.

Flying home today, the plane was flying fairly low and there were no clouds, so I had a great view. We always hear of boring huge wheat fields, but that didn't seem to be the case from the sky. Lots of different green fields.. really pretty...

The other thing I really enjoyed was the daylight. It didn't get dark til about 11 pm. On Canada DAy we went out to see the fireworks, but they didn't take place til after 11. It was great.

All in all a great trip.
