Advice with Banff Hotel locations

Jump to last reply

We have 7 full days for Banff, L. Louise and Jasper area, not counting flights in and out of Calgary which would include 2 more days, 9 total. We'd like to base most of our time in Banff with some time for Jasper. We are not long day hikers, would do short 1-2 hr. hikes to see sights/waterfalls. I need advice of balancing our time and if we should use the 7 days in and around Banff area only. We don't want to rush our days but do want to see as much as possible. Also have a problem deciding on which hotel to book in Banff. Our Budget is not much over 300 US a night, plus tax . One Question is the location for our price range for lodging and how close the hotel is to town and dining. It's our 40th anniversary trip, in September 2015. Husband would enjoy center of town but we will walk into town if I can find a nice hotel within our price range. I'm considering Brewster Mtn. Lodge, and Delta Banff Canadian Lodge. Any advice?
Thanks in advance for help with above. I'm wanting to book hotel within a day or so quikck responses is appreciated.
