4 Days From Baddeck to Halifax Nova Scotia

My husband and I have 13 nights to vacation in Nova Scotia. First 3 nights at Prince George Hotel in Halifax. Next 4 nights on Cape Breton at Inverary Resort. Last 3 nights back in Halifax at Prince George hotel again. We have 3 nights available between the trip from Baddeck to Halifax. I thought of spending that time in Trouro to see the tides of the bay of Fundy. I've read that the John Stanfield Inn there has a fabulous restaraunt and accomodations. But after reading posts here, I wonder if there isn't a better use of our time for those 3 nights? Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

i would leave baddeck and spend the day at fort louisberg. either stay the night in that area or drive to port hawksbury to spend the night. i stayed at the capeway motel - 624-2524. just a very simple 8 room motel but really nice, although, small rooms. the owner was really pleasant. good price for the area. then, i'd spend the next day enjoying the sites on the way to pictou and spend two nights there.

close by pictou is the munroes/caribou provincial park. it has a really nice beach and is a wonderful place if you want some beach time and is also lovely at sunset. you can watch the ferries come in from pei.

Hi,

Just wanted to second the vibe you were given.

Truro proper doesn't quite do it for me EXCEPT as a strategic location. Something well down either side of the Bay is prefered, OR a more picturesque locale

Thanks for the info. I've been reviewing my dates and will make better use of the time in Wolfville or surroundings. I appreciate your help! Will be posting my new itinerary in a new post. Thanks again.
