1000 islands, Gananoque

Hi, I'm planning a mini-trip to Gananoque and 1000 Islands. I live in Montreal so it will be by car.

The plan right now is:

Day 1: Arrive in Gananoque maybe around 12pm-1pm, check-in an hotel, explore the town, etc. (NIGHT #1 in Hotel)

Day 2: Do the Cruise, probably the long 5-hour one with the visit to Boldt Caste (NIGHT #2 in Hotel)

Day 3: Head back to Montreal with perhaps a stop at Upper Canada Village along the way (is it worth it?)

Does this sound like a good plan, is there enough to be occupied for 2 full days in Gananoque or might as well do it all in only 1 night. It seems like a very small town so exploring it should be quick, I know there's also the Casino that could be checked out in one of the evenings. Anything else that you would suggest to do in the area that is a must-do or see?

Also, anyone has some hotels to suggest that has a great location, good quality and not too expensive? Something walking distance to the town center would be great. Also any restaurant suggestions?

Thanks a lot.
