My sister's an avid knitter and will be traveling to Sydney. Any recommendations on good yarn shops?

There's a shop called Tapestry Craft at 50 York Street in Sydney (near the Queen Victoria Building). I used to shop for embroidery kits there so I don't know about the yarns, but they did have them.
Is she a member of Ravelry? www.ravelry.com There are several Australian groups, all of whom could help her find yarn stores.

Second Longhorn's suggestion about Tapestry Craft. Wool shops are hard to find in Sydney. There is Morris and Sons in York St:
50 York Street
Sydney NSW 2000
Ph: (02) 9299 8588
Ph: 1800 222 155
Fax: (02) 9290 2680

There is also a Lincraft in York St:
68 York Street, Sydney NSW 2000.

They are a general fabric / craft / haberdashery chain, which does sell wool too.

Will she only be in the city centre? Some of the great wool shops are located in the suburbs. Perhaps you could let us know? Di
Morris and sons -fab range
Thanks! Di -- she will just be in the city...
Hi - I discovered a great yarn store in Lindfield - Greta's handcraft -- easy train ride and across the road from the station. See http://www.gretashandcraft.com.au/
I had just learnt to knit and got some great yarn plus took a lesson with Lynette.
