Whitsunday?

Jump to last reply

So we already have our itinerary and flights booked for the last two weeks of August

We have 3 days in Cairns and 5 days in Sydney with one daytrip to the Blue Mountains.

I regret not putting in Whitsunday into the original plan. Is it worth a daytrip or leave one day and come back the next day (direct flights)? It looks beautiful in the pictures, the white sand beaches but can I find that in the Cairns area? Is it really that worth it? Potentially we could make it work while we are in Sydney...Fly out, stay overnight and then fly out the next day...but I am assuming it's not cheap to stay there overnight either?

Thoughts? Any reassures?
