i will be travelling to Sydney from 11th april until 19th only. i am doing this trip by myself and this will be my first time to travel to australia, i have relatives in sydney but i do not want to bother them since their workloads and skeds are too heavy.
any best suggestions to get cheapest accommodation around sydney?
one more thing, i am also planning to squeeze my skeds for a 3 day visit in New Zealand, Most likely, Rotorua, Taupo and the Hobbiton (huge fan of the LOTR)
what is the best and cheapest way to get plane ticket from sydney to rotorua or any route to save some time since will only stay for 3 days. Hostel or guesthouses to recommend?
any itinerary suggestion?
any suggestions especially backpackers or in tight budget like me will be greatly appreciated.
thanks and more power to FODORS
urgent help

Skeds? I've learned a new word.
Can't help with Sydney, but for inexpensive accommodation in NZ, I suggest you take a look at hostels. These sites might help:
http://www.yha.co.nz/
http://www.bbh.co.nz/
go to www.airbnb.com
you will find more affordable accommodations
thanks both of you Melnq8 and mojojojotang. big help for both websites you have recommended.
thanks again
