Two week trip to Australia/NZ

Jump to last reply

I am travelling to Australiza/NZ in first half of April. Trip plan is 7 days in Australia and six days in NZ. Wanted to check on the following NZ itinerary. We plan to fly in to Queenstown:

Day 1: reach in morning. go for Bungy in afternoon.
Day 2: Drive to te anau (stop at Glenorchy on the way). Overnight at te anau.
Day 3: visit milford fjord and return to Queenstown. overnight at queenstown
Day 4: Do sky diving
Day 5: travel to Fox glacier. Overnight at fox glacier
Day 6: ecplore glaciers. Overnight at fox glacier
Day 7: return to Queenstown and catch flight to Melbourne.

Planning to rent a car. we are two couples with two 3 year old kids. both of us can drive, so driving may not be an issue. key interest are bungy and sky diving and seeing natural beauty. If we see wild life for kids, would be a bonus.

wanted to know if it is advisable to cut glacier trip (3 days) and spend the same in and around Queenstown /te anau. we have been to hill stations with decent snow cover over in india but don't know if glacial views would be much different.

If we cut glacier trip, what are the places we can see over in queenstown. Limited interest in beaches but mountains, lakes would be great.

Also in australia, we plan to stay 7 days in elbourne (my brother stays there). we like thrill rides and planning to go to Gold coast for couple of days, but after bungy and sky diving, would it make sense to go to gold coast just for that.

Any suggestions would be welcome
