The 'over the water bungalows' are wonderful! We did not stay in one but took a boat ride past them and I thought "what a great place for a honeymoon!" http://www.overwater-bungalows.com/b...-Bora-Bora.php

You might want to consider a cruise to the Society Islands. The Islands are very close together so you don't really spend a lot of time cruising, most of your time is on the differant islands http://www.paulgauguincruiseline.com/?source=google

My favourite resorts in the islands are on Tahiti - Intercontinental Tahiti Resort, on Moorea Intercontinental Moorea Resort and on Bora Bora I like Intercontinental Thalasso Spa Resort, Bora Bora Nui, St Regis and Le Meridien. Maybe consider (depending on budget) Le Taha'a Private Island Resort on Taha'a (you fly into Raiatea and boat from there) or one of the Tuamotu Group of islands, Manihi or Tikehau.... all very gorgeous, and all very romantic. If you are considering a cruise, Bora Bora Cruises is divine. Hop onto Tahiti Tourism website for more info.

Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora are a good choices as they are the most visited islands. For a honeymoon I would recommend Interconti or Manava in Tahiti, Hilton or Sofitel Ia Ora in Moorea, In Bora Bora, Saint Regis, Thalasso Interconti or Four season. But it depends on your budget. You can find all inclusive packages on this website: http://www.tahiti-and-vacation.com

Im in FP 2-3 times a year and currently building a home on Raiatea. You can stay a resort in any part of the world. However, to get flavor for FP I suggest your charter a catameran and sail around the Leeward Islands for 7-9 days. These islands include Bora Bora, Raiatea, Tahaa and Huahine.
If you want to have the experience of an overwater bungalow on an ultra-private Island you can end your sailing charter on Vahine Island, which is just off of Tahaa. Bora Bora is really a sight to see but its over crowded now.

If you are on a budget consider the Paul Gauguin. The islands are very costly and the PG is all inclusive. I would also suggest a post cruise on Moorea at the Hilton or The BB Thalosso and a pre cruise at the Intercontinental In Tahiti
