Tonga Hotels and Activities

We are considering a Friendly Island kayak trip but may extend our trip for 2-3 days.
Were should we base ourselves...would like comfortable hotel after camping. And what activities or sites beyond water (i.e. mountain biking, blowholes, anything historic?).

Thanks for any input since we need to get this trip going ASAP.
