Tim Tam

Christmas is over. I ordered a croc belt for DH, and DS. Also a box of Tim Tams. Having one now with a cuppa. Brings back great memories.

My American friends love them but I dislike them.

My Mom and brother love them - I cart them back to the US by the suitcase load, but I seldom eat them myself - too sweet for my tastes.

They r delicious and still one of my favourite biscuits but I have noticed that in the last few years they have become sweeter than previously.

cathies,

I think you're right. I just had them recently after not having had them in years and thought the same thing. I do prefer the dark chocolate ones.

northie,
Yes, I'm American, too!

We can get them in Canada now so they aren't the novelty they used to be when in Oz. I did buy some on our recent trip 'for old times sake' but didn't find them that special. I brought home mint slices, also by Arnott, which I know family here will love.

Yum! Brought back what I thought was a good supply, but it didn't last. It's one of the things I think of when I think about Australia.

I like the double coated ones. But only have one every great once in a while. A good policy when they're right there in the neighbourhood shop every day.

Hmm my brother-in-law and nephew are visiting New Zealand at the moment. They are taking home 12 packets of Toffee Pops as you can't get them in Australia. We asked them how long they will last, and BIL said nephew will have them eaten in 12 days!!!

I do love Tim Tams too.

That's all DD wanted me to bring back from our vacation to OZ. She posted a video of her 2 year old opening the box filled with a stuffed wombat toy, teas and a small package of Tim Tam. She was happy. Then he found the bag filled with large value sized packages of Tim Tams in various flavors. She was excited as the 2 year old with his wombat. (He kept kissing it and talking to it. So cute!)
Tim Tams were a big hit.
