Tasmania - revised itinerary.... advice please!!

Jump to last reply

We are going to Tasmania in late April (bit spur of moment) and we are finalising our itinerary... we'd love some feedback. We traveled to Tasmania last October and explored part of the West coast, so we have a different focus this time

Day1 (Wed) - arrive mid afternoon, drive to Tasman Peninsula - Blowhole, Tasman’s Arch, the Devil’s Kitchen and Waterfall Bay (if time) .Port Arthur Ghost Tour

Thurs - Sunrise Tessellated Pavement - Port Arthur / Isle of the Dead

Friday - Possibly a day walk in this area - any ideas?

Sat - Sat morning, either stay around Tasman Peninsula if there are things to do and see or go to Salamanca - afternoon drive to Devonport

Sun - Whole day food tour starting Devonport (booked in)

Mon - Zip-lining (booked) then to Columba Falls Road, Pyengana Dairy - head towards St Helens

Tues - Morning - Bay of Fires. Binalong Bay - then start heading down the East Coast

Wed / Thurs / Fri - East Coast - Freyinet, Coles Bay, etc - not sure if this is too much time??

Sat - Salamanca and then fly home

Options include spending first 3 days in the Huon Valley / Bruny Island and then finishing the trip by spending the last day and a bit on the Tasman Peninsula instead. Not sure. We are into photography, waterfalls, good food, pretty walks.

Any advice appreciated :-)

Cheers

Cathy
