Hi!!
We are traveling to new Zealand in May and planning to cover south island. Please provide your suggestions over this itenary.....
11th May : flight from Hyderabad
13th May : reach Christchurch
14th May : day trip to kaikoura back to christchurch
15th May : leave from Christchurch for hanmer springs .
Drive to hokitika and stay there.
16th May : explore hokitika and leave for fox glacier . Stay at fox glacier
17th May : explore fox glacier and start for wanaka. Stay at wanaka.
18th May : drive wanaka to Queenstown
19th May : day tour Qt to Milford.
20th may : QT
21st May : Qt
22nd May : Qt to mt cook stay at mount cook.
23rd May : mt cook to christchurch via lake tekapo
24th May : Day trip to akaroa.
25th May : fly home.

Is it fine to go this direction or in the reverse direction...??
Are we missing anything major..??
Any additions that can be made?.

This doesn't make sense - there's no need to return to Christchurch - too much backtracking. You can visit Hanmer after Kaikoura as a side trip, or as an overnight before heading to Hokitika.

<17th May : explore fox glacier and start for wanaka. Stay at Wanaka>

Keep in mind that this is about a five hour drive, so it doesn't leave you much time to explore Fox in the morning. The drive between Fox and Wanaka is gorgeous, lots of reasons to stop, which can make it an even longer drive.

Otherwise, your itinerary looks pretty good to me. You'll be hitting the highlights of the SI at a decent pace. I wouldn't add a thing.

17 may : QT activities if possible arrowtown, lake wakatipu
18 may : glenorchy, paradise, kelvin heights
19 may : day tour milford
20 may : QT to wanaka via haast pass .70 Kms .. Do puzzel world/ sky diving/ learn to fly plane /WANAKA lake,
21 may : WANAKA to fox hike to see fox glacier, lake matheson walk.
22 may : helihiking
23 may: Fox to cch via arthurs pass 257+ 154kms
24 may : kaikoura
25 may : fly home

Why the backtracking to Lake Tekapo? It's in the opposite direction of Queenstown.

Haast Pass is north of Wanaka, not en route from QT.
