Safe / Decent hotel in Osaka, Japan??
I will be traveling to Bali in August and have to overnight in Osaka. I am a female traveling alone. Any suggestions on places to stay - even near the airport is fine.??? I hear Japan is REALLY expensive - even just a cab ride from the airport - so if there is anything safe and affordable I'd really aprrecitate hearing about it.
Thanks!

try getting a hotel package off the airline, if you are travelling jal you may be in luck,
Japan is a very safe place.
Try the plaza hotel at Umeda station, a great place
but sorry, not cheap.
bali prices just do not happen in japan, guess there are cheaper places but they would be close to impossible to find especially in a huge place like osaka
food in underground rail stations cheaper & good. Be sure to shop at Diamaru
dept store at umeda station, its a wonderland, esp the foodhall

OK been there...Osaka airport is on an island. You need to take a train to Osaka from there. Several options....go cheap. Japan is very safe even at midnight. I and my daughter felt safe even at these hours. I stayed in business hotels because they were close to the main train stations. Email [email protected]
I don't remember the web site but these people will tell you and the web site tells all of the prices. Its not cheap around $100. You can stay at youth hostels for around $20-30 but I didn't do that. Japan is fun if you go to Osaka see the castle if you have time its worth it. SDo are the Namba shops.

Been to Osaka this June. Stayed at Toyo Hotel (u get off at Nakatsu subway station). Very comfortable and the price is reasonable. From the airport you can take JR to Namba Station and then change subway. The Japan transport system is very convenient so don't worry you'll get lost. Since Japan is very safe, u can try hotels near the city where u can tour around
as well.
as well.
