Red Centre - how long to stay

Jump to last reply

We have just found some VERY cheap flights to Ayers Rock (Uluru) but have to decide today if we will take them up. Timing - mid October. Having a very quick look, it seems we could do Uluru, The Olgas, Kings Canyon, Standley Chasm, Alice Springs. We were wondering about 6 days and 7 nights. Does that seem too long or about right? For those that have been there please tell us: (a) how you would break up your nights, (b) any great places to stay (and that does not have to mean expensive); and (c) any places you would suggest as "do not miss". Thanks.
