Problems booking Jetstar online?

I am going crazy trying to book a flight with Jetstar online.

When it gets to the payment screen, it keeps asking for a "yes" or "no" on the travel insurance by JetCover. There is no visible Yes/No on the screen. It looks like there is an issue with displaying the info. I have tried a Mac and two PC laptops (one with Google Chrome and the other with IE). Does anyone know the workaround?

Thanks in advance,
Roberto

I had trouble booking Jetstar online a few months back...turned out it was an issue with my mailing address being different from my physical address. I tried calling to sort it out, but never did get any help from Jetstar...finally solved the mystery myself.

Their call center is in Malaysia and is pretty worthless in my experience...good luck.

Quite, Melnq8.
Highly unlikely anyone will get any help from this useless mob. Qantas should be ashamed of themselves!

Seriously, satrijoe, if Virginblue flies the same route - swap. Just don't swap for TigerAir - they're even worse!

What's your destination?

(Sorry, Australian companies aren't usually this useless - Qantas has gone downmarket to try & get the budget market and unfortunately they have created a monster with no idea of the definition of the word, "service".)

I am trying to book an AKL-CHC flight. The thing is only Jetstar has flights that will match my timing. Air New Zealand is way too expensive (and they still dare to claim to sell cheap tickets...) and Pacific/Virgin Blue.
I guess I will end up paying 15 dollars more and book it over the phone.

I just had a look at the website and tried an AKL-CHC booking. On the payment page it has immediately below the cost of the insurance a "Remove from Booking" button rather than a 'yes" or "no" button. However, there does appear to be a glitch on the site because it is not working and insurance added is pre-selected. All the other options buttons appear to be fine. If the flight times and the cost are what you want, I would be inclined to simply pay the $9 for insurance - that is cheaper than $15 for a phone booking.
Just go straight to entering your payment details.

Actually on reading your original post again it sounds more like you couldn't proceed with the booking without choosing a yes or no option for the insurance, but that certainly wasn't the case when I tried. Hope it works for you.

I know people say Jetstar is dreadful but personally I have been quite happy with the few times I have used them for the most part. If you are buying ridiculously cheap airfares you can't expect 5 star service. I haven't had any flights delayed or cancelled on me and that is basically all I hope for. I do have to say that the one time I rang the call centre with a query they were less than helpful but fortunately it was only a minor matter.

Like shandy, I've had no issues with Jetstar on the ground or in the air...but I've had my share of problems with their online booking system and their call center is pitiful.

Jetstar fixed the website problem. Now I had an issue with one credit card and used a 2nd. one. When I checked my e-mail, it processed both...

Will have to call their customer service now... Oh Lord.

Fortunately I haven't had to contact Jetstar's call centre, but add me to the list of people who haven't had a problem with their service. We last flew with them to Bali and found that as long as you realise that you have to pay for a few things (like food) you'll get gratis from Qantas, they were fine.
