Perth + ??

I'm thinking of visiting Oz, Perth(again) this Nov. i have already been there for a short holiday last year, but this time round, I may wanna see more of SW. Question, where else can I visit besides Perth? It seems so far from anywhere else in Oz... ... any ideas?

Plenty of places to see in the Perth area. There are a number of day trips or a couple of day round trip.
Here are some suggestions;
Margaret River...wines, cheese making and great surfing
Leeuwon Naturalise National Park...follow the road from yallingup down to Augusta.
The southern coast road to Albany is also spectacular...some nice places in Pemberton, Denmark etc
Albany...old whaling station
Head north to Stirling Range National Park....plenty of Wildlife
Wave Rock....magnificent natural rock shaped by the wind into the shape of a huge wave.
There is plenty to see and do in the SW of WA.....enjoy your trip.

I am heading to Perth in November with my family. This is my home town so there is always plenty for us to do. Must see - Rottnest Island - only 20 minutes away by ferry, a place like no other in the world. Basically a car free town, with bikes and walking the main means of transport. Get there before the school and college vacations.
Also other great spots are Bunbury, Bussleton, and another must do _ Margaret River - awesome pies at the Bakery, surfing at the river mouth, and plenty of wine tasting. Another little known spot Eagle Bay near Dunsbourgh.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Bernie,

I agree with David's suggestions about the South-West.

Another Idea would be to travel north a bit to the Pinnacles Desert, Kalbari National Park, Monkey Mia, and if you want to keep going further, Karijini National park.

Have a great trip

judithlorraine123 from Cologne germany: as I remember the allies in WW2 bombed everything in Cologne (except the church). I guess the bombing included all the calendars. The original post references November 1999- it is now 2007. A lot has changed since then. nice church, but Perth is wonderful. I'm sure Bernie had a great time. (and please continue to give us your input on this forum)
