OW bung. Hotel BoraBora. Can you go wrong??
My husband and I are keen on a holiday to FP. I am doing my homework and have read many brochures and seen a few web sites/forums etc.

We will be going in June, for about 5 days.

***Can we go wrong with an overwater bungalow at Hotel Bora Bora??***

(No brochures I recieved even mentioned Hotel BB- might be more aimed at tourists not from our area?- but I have not read a single bad or even mediocre review of Hotel BB.)
I am interested in your opinions and experience.
Thanks.

When we went to BB, the Hotel BB was closed for renovation. I believe you will be completely happy with an OWB there based on everything I have heard from everyone else. We were very happy with the OWB at Le Meridien in BB - and HBB would be better because it would have more coral - therefore, more fish. Enjoy yourself - you will love it!!!!

All of the OWB are beautiful, but I have to mention that they are very bad for the coral reefs. It is much less expensive to stay in a garden bungalow and just sit on the pier's. I have to admit that if they were the same cost I probably would stay in the OWB-it's an experience, you will love it

I know for a fact that at the Sheraton these are all natural reefs in the lagoon, manmade arrangements you can easily tell. I would think it would be the same at each hotel in tgelagoon but of course I don't know that. The fish tend to really like to be under the piers and bungalows since people feed them and it is safer. I dove all over and that is where most of the fish were. BUT it was very upsetting to see people jump off of their pier onto the beautiful sponges and breaking coral. I would of loved to talk to these people but unfortunately I could not speak their language.I suggested to the sheraton that they need to promote protecting their reefs-maybe with a sign in each room in all different languages. People don't realize that coral is actually a living animal, not a plant or rock, that takes hundreds of years to be so beautiful. Making people aware is the key, and hopefully I can do that so everything stays pristine!
