Need help with Fiji stopover

So, I wanted to go to New Zealand for a few weeks. As I was researching the flight, I noticed that it wasn't much more to stop over in Nadi.
Anyways.... I'm going to be there for 6 full days and I have NO idea what I'm going to do there :)

I'm a novice diver, so recommendation on where to dive or a liveaboard would be nice. I'm also interested in local culture and am not the sit on a beach type.
