Moorea/Bora Bora - to pre-book hotel or wait to you get there?

I'm travelling to Tahiti, etc. in early November and I'm unsure as to whether to try and pre-book accommodation or wait until we arrive and check it out locally (we'll be there on eweek and will probably go to Moorea and/or Bora Bora; any suggestions would be very welcome.

I have heard that you should definitely reserve your room in advance in order to stay where you want. Many of the well priced hotels tend to sell out on Bora Bora and Moorea

Just back from BB and M. Definitely prebook. We used Camille at Tahiti Legends and were very pleased. Extremely helpful, nice, and efficient. I'm open to more questions, just ask.

<BR>the trip that tahiti legends booked for us was the trip from hell and they were not at all helpful in following up on our concerns. i had insisted oon having some unbooked time and that part of the trip was great. stayed at bed and breakfasts and hotels one third the cost and the people were much nicer than in the large resorts

Big mistake going to French Polynesia in November as it is the rainy/hurricane season. I have been to French Polynesia 3 times and have been in a hurricane (172 mile an hour winds & rain with 90 destroyed houses on Bora Bora, no water etc.) in November 1997. The food is very expensive but you can save money on B & B. My question is July a good time to go weather wise?
