mercure hotel wellington

Any New Zealand experts out there that can give me driving directions to the Mercure hotel in wellington? I believe its on a street called the Terrace. It looks like the motorway is near the street on my map. Any suggestions for what off ramp to take?

Why not email the hotel and ask them for directions?

Do contact the hotel and ask for directions, but also be sure to get a map of Wellington and double-check the directions. Look for one-way streets and things like that which can throw you off course.

We had a stressful experience getting to our hotel in Auckland trying to use the directions we got over the phone. We found many Kiwis to be, shall we say, rather loose with their directions.

Hi Koa

Did not notice this post till just now.

The exit you want is the "Terrace" exit.

The Mecure is virtually opposite the lights at the end of the exit slip road.

So it is a quick left turn at the lights then immeadiate right into the hotel. The Terrace is not a majorly busy road. It is only two lanes (One either way).

Cheers

Steve

Thanks steve, sounds relatively easy. Minus the confusion of driving on the left!

Hi
Really easy to find. From motorway take 'The Terrace' exit. Turn right at the lights (you are now on The Terrace). Keep going straight along this road to the very end. Mercure Hotel is on the left just before the end. Take note - the main part of this road part way along curves round to the left and becomes Ghuznee St. Do not follow the road around to the left. At this corner go straight (ie stay on The Terrace).

Thanks tip for the detailed directions. Sounds pretty easy to find. Is it far or difficult to find the interislander ferry terminal from this hotel?
