MARILYN ROGERS R U THERE?

Hi M.R.
I am so sorry to have missed your visit but was stuck somewhere between Melbourne and Home at the time you called.
Thank you indeed for the lovely pressies - folks eat your heart out 'cause I got chocolates, wonderful peanut butter and chocolate thingies, Texan Hot Sauce, Maple Syrup. ground coffee etc. Very much appreciated Marilyn and hopefully you did find your way around the mountain and particularly to the Distillery here.
Hopefully next time you come to Australia I will be around to see you OR you never know, I have just written to my friend in Atlanta saying that I may visit her next year so will perhaps plop on your doorstep.
I will be flying over the US in May but only going from LA to Miami en route to Peru etc so unfortunatly time will be short and the location wrong.
Take care and have a safe journey home and hopefully you will remember us Aussies every so often.
I also hope that your son enjoyed his time here and found it of some benefit.
Best wishes
Liz

Liz,
I think MR (from chatting at Bradleys Head) would be at the Byron area today (friday) and returning to the gold coast and flying out Saturday.

Perhaps she will contact saturday am.

Yes...her gift package is excellent.

HEY LIZ!!! You bet, I'm here, but sadly, at the airport headed home. We have had such a terrific trip; hard to believe it's over. I am so sorry I missed you too. We loved Tamborine Mountain; Reed had spent a weekend there but wanted to go back with us.The lookouts and waterfalls were awsome, and we had a great time at the distillery. We had lunch at the Country Garden Cafe, delightful, shopped around the area, and the weather was just perfect. After we left there we headed to SpringBrook, saw more beautiful lookouts. Always stopping for pictures. The Natural Bridge is certainly a sight to behold, and oh, the pictures there were so fine!
Then we drove up and back down and then up again to the "Best Ever Look Out, had a big laugh because we were in a dense cloud with about 1 foot visibility, took pictures and had fun with it, but on the way out we saw a family of Wallabies. Got some great pics. You steared us well, Liz. What a trip. I'll have to tell you later about finding the pottery and hat factory in Gold Coast, info given to me by your Tamborine merchants.
Our trip to Broken Head was equally impressive. The quaint cabins in the rainforest, with our own secluded remarkable beach with head rocks that every fisherman dreams of fishing or snorkling. And that lighthouse, WOW!!!! I wish all could see our pictures. Johnj, we never had a moment to spare in the area, I wish we could have met up with you again. I hesitate to tell the world about Broken Head because it would no longer be such a fine secret. But I guess I have to share. Thank you all so much for sharing your local secrets with us and helping to make our trip truely sublime. When I come down I will do a trip report, but I don't see how I will ever be able to do your country justice. We never met anyone who didn't want to help us or know more about us, or tell us about themselves. Lord knows I had plenty of questions. Sure glad you liked your very small gift; it was nothing, but my pleasure.
