Main Beach, Gold Coast

Heading to Main Beach, Gold Coast in March 2014 and trying to find a hotel with King size or larger bed.
I would apreciate any suggetions.
I've already been told to stop being so pickie, however I cannot see the point of leaving home if I must have poor sleep. The trip is planned as a quiet break to catch up on sleep after a hectic work load.

We enjoy Main Beach, however would it be better to move to another Gold Coast location catering for travellers who demand the larger beds. Any suggestions please - not looking for busy or loud places. Would like to have breakfast in the appartment, but intend to buy most meals... having said that if we found an Aussie delight such as fresh pinapple and ham... or whatever.... we would enjoy returning to the appartment to eat.

Many thanks
from an Oldkiwigal

I'm not sure I'm much help - is there such a thing as a bed bigger than king size? Personally, I've always found the comfort of a bed to be related to its construction and generally not related to its size. Personally, I tend to avoid king size beds, as Mrs. tt7 always seems to be a long way away....

Sheraton has always touted its Sheraton Sweet Sleeper and I've generally always found them to be comfortable. However, whether they have them in hotels outside the U.S., I don't know. If they do, try the Sheraton Mirage.

Also try Versace. Either they or the Sheraton would probably put two Queen size beds together for you, if you ask.

For a price, you can have ( just about) anything you like.

Thanks tt7 -
oh yeah there are larger beds - Cal King. Also many hotels have two Queen beds in each room.

I will go look at the Sherton.

Thanks Bokhara,

Will go look at Versace & Sheraton.

I wonder if anyone can tell me more about the Sheraton Mirage. Promo photos don't tell you much - it looks amost space aged and unfriendly... but trees may have been planted now.
Thanks
