Can anyone tell me how easy it is to get from island to island in the Society islands?
I've never been, and don't know if I should try to fit in as many islands as possible,
or if I could choose just one that would give me give me a nice enough flavor of the area. If I could get away with going to only one, which one is the must see, and if you feel that this would be a shame please tell me that as well. I'm interested in the most beautiful island, most beautiful beaches, and most beautiful water, (although from the looks of it any island in this area fits this bill.) If it helps, I'm not a diver, so diving specifics aren't necessary. Thanks in advance for any responses!

My husband surprised me with a trip on Haumana cruises to see Tahiti. These are shorter cruises (3 to 4 nights) with smaller, luxury boats that allow you to visit a few islands. We felt like we were living on our own yacht! Although we are not cruise people...we absolutely loved the freedom and leisure of this cruise as well as optional activities. My husband could be as active as he wanted (kayaking, diving, etc) and I could relax with a book on the beach or wander into the water to snorkel. After the cruise, most people picked one island to spend the remainder of their trip on -- most popular for a few evenings was Bora, Bora.
