We are going to Palau in January and could use some advice on where to stay. The Carolines Resort looks good, but seems to be far from the shore. Do we need a rental car on Palau?

Lucky you, but as Palau Islands are in Phillippine Sea you'd be better off posting this on Asian site.
I'll try that, but Palau is on this forum's search list and not on Asia's.
Gleep, sorry, was thinking of Palawan Islands not Paulau, which is of course in Pacific. However, can't remember seeing anything about it on this board recently.

I am interested in Palau or the Marshall
Islands for a vacation.
I want to know which place is less touristy and which island has better beaches and which is better for snorkling?
Thanks in Advance.
