First Trip to Bora Bora

We are very close to booking our first trip to Bora Bora and are looking for any advice or tips anyone may have to make it a successful trip. Any input would be appreciated. We like to snorkel, sun-bathe and take in local cultral. We are interested in the Intercontinental Hotels. Has anyone stayed in any of the OWB at either resort Le Mona of Thalasso?

Any suggestions on activities or tour guides? Is it possible to take a day trip to any other island from Bora Bora?
