Fiji is fantastic! I lived there for 3 years and stayed in some wonderful resorts. Both the Sheraton resorts are great; Cousteau's dive resort has a great reputation; the Regent was a personal favorite. There are a number of very exclusive places for couples which would be wonderful if money isn't a problem! Email me back with any queries if you want to.

I have not been to Micronesia since WWII but we spent 9 days at the Matangi Island Resort in Fiji last May. We can give it rave recommendations. You can check their honeymoon plans at http://MatangiIsland.com. You can save some money if you use deluxe bure #3 where we stayed instead of the tree house. We liked our location and room better.
If may be a little less expensive to go to Micronesia and the diving might be better. However you can't beat the beauty and charm of Fiji where the very friendly people speak English. You are little closer to civilization there also.
I just moved from Guam in Micronesia; lived there for 2.5 years. I did like it, but I wouldn't spend my honeymoon there. If you go to Micronesia, go to Palau...especially if you dive.
