Hello,<BR><BR>I am planning my honeymoon, and we have two weeks we can take off. We live in NYC, and would love to go to the South Pacific.<BR><BR>I would really like to go to Bora Bora and Moorea for 7-9 days, and then spend the rest of the time on Rangiroa and/or Aitutaki.<BR><BR>Does this sound feasible, and has anyone ever combined these islands before?<BR><BR>Are they too far apart?<BR><BR>Thanks so much for your help!

It is only an hour & a half flight between Raro & Tahiti, then transfer to Bora Bora (1 hour flight) or Moorea (10 minute flight). If you have 2 weeks that shouldn't be any problem. We've been to both places at separate tiems but every time we have gone to the Cook Islands we have stopped in Tahiti on the way back to LAX. But if you try to do Tahiti & Moorea & Bora-Bora & Raro & Aitutaki, you may be missing the point by jumping around too much. Personally, I would go to Bora Bora & Aitutaki for a honeymoon. I'm sure you will get varying advice...goood luck!

Too many islands for a relaxed honeymoon..I'd suggest Huahine or Raiatoa and Bora Bora. Check out PearlBeachResort.com

You could do it in 2 weeks fairly easily. Rarotonga is quite small, and easily managed in a week (or less). The same for Aitutaki and Moorea. Having been to all 4 islands, I would suggest spending more time in the Cooks, than in the Society Islands. The people are friendlier, your money will go MUCH farther, and Raro/Aitutaki are easily a scenic match for Moorea/Bora Bora.

Hi there everyone!<BR><BR>Thanks very much for all of the advice.<BR><BR>I think I have narrowed it to 3 islands - Bora Bora, Moorea, and Aitutaki.<BR><BR>What are your opinions of this? Am I missing anything in particular on Rarotonga?<BR><BR>Also, we were thinking of using Islands In The Sun to book our trip. Has anyone used them, and is there anyone else that we should consider for booking our trip? Thanks so much!!

Hi, Lynn - we used Islands in the Sun and were very pleased. We were at Rangiroa almost 2 years ago now. Snorkeling through the passes is one of the most fantastic experiences I have ever had. Three full days is more than enough time to spend there. I wouldn't have missed Bora Bora and Moorea either. Can't report much on Aitutaki as when we were there the island was experiencing terrific thunder storms and we never did get to snorkel. Hard to choose - it would depend on your interests but I would have a tendency to return to French Polynesia rather than the Cook Islands. Some people prefer the Cook Islands though.

Think I'd pass on Tahiti and spend time on Moorea, Bora Bora (45 minute flight). There is a one week cruise on the Paul Gaugin that hits Rangiroa and Huahine and then you could settle on Bora Bora or Moorea for a real rest. It's such a langorous, romantic place, it would be a shame not to soak it up a bit. It's fragrant and quiet and the trade winds blow and there is nothing like listening to the water lapping at the posts under your over-water bungalow. The most gorgeous place you'll ever see. The best time is late September to November. Winter can be wet and mosquitoes are plentiful.
