Hi everyone,
I am currently booked on a tour to Lizard Island with Daintree Air Services in August and I was wondering if anyone here had used them? If so, can you describe the activities that Greg usually plan? While I want to do some snorkelling, I'd also like to explore some parts of the island other than Watson's Bay if that is allowed.
Thanks!

You're doing a trip that very few have done and in absence of Pat W responding
. Have you emailed them for some detail on what is in the itinerary and any free time you'll have available.
I think I've seen a report some months ago of someone having been there as I recall a number of photographs from different locations on the island, so may be that if time allows you'll be able to take a bit of a hike.
Couldn't find the report but a search brings up a number of interesting threads

And one other I looked at by Deszere I think OPs name was also has some good comments and in particular how they went and did their own thing on a second trip, a total of seven hours being available it seems.
We went on this awesome trip back in 2004. They pick you up at your lodging and take you to the airport. Then we landed on Lizard after a stunning flight and Greg took us to the Blue Lagoon and then to the beach where we had lunch. We didn't go snorkeling until after lunch because of low tide. Greg led us through the clam garden over coral VERY close to our stomachs!! I hope it is deeper for you! He also showed us how damsel fish will protect their territories. He is a character and fun to be with. I was sorry we didn't have more time for snorkeling, but the whole trip was wonderful. You'll have a great time, whatever the itinerary. I read a trip report once where he took the people snorkeling in the little stream with sharks and rays! We had some teens on our trip who were afraid of every little thing, so he was careful of what we did for their sakes. Also, don't be surprised to see boatloads of people landing from a small cruise ship. They didn't snorkel, however. The clams are amazing as is the whole experience!
