Christchurch to Te Wekeka Inn
I am wondering what is the quickest way to travel from Christchurch to Te Wekaka Inn? Is there a way to fly? What sort of weather should I expect in early June? TIA. John

Do you mean Te Weheka B&B Inn in Fox Glacier? If so, you're looking at a drive of about five hours, forty-five minutes, vis Arthur's Pass, Greymouth and down the west coast. I'm not aware of any flights.
June is winter, so the weather could be up to anytying. Rain is a distinct possibility.

Yes, that's the place. Thanks for the info. Are there any good hikes closer to the Christchurch area. I am afraid I may not have enough time to make the drive to Fox Glacier and back. I only have 3 days total in Christchurch.

For an excellent hiking track, take look at Rakaia Gorge Walkway, about an hour's drive west of Christchurch - we loved this track:
