What type of campervan do you usually drive?

It depends on what type of touring you want to do. Do you intend to spend every night in a caravan park, in which case you will not need a toilet or shower. Do you intend to freedom camp like we, in which case you will need a toilet or a large plastic jar.

How many people and how much luxury do you require?

We spent a month in Tas in our camper two years ago and will spend another month this coming January. We only paid for three nights - two in a national park ($13) and one at a football ground ($5). This time we probably will not pay for any.

The two main companies - Britz and Maui have good reputations but are expensive asa consequence. Wicked tends not to have a good reputation. I haven't heard anything about Juicy.

Thanks for replies. We have never tried a camper before and a friend said when they did the bed had to be set up every night so one that is left set up may be good if that is possible? Not too fussy so happy to stay anywhere we can.
We can stay with friends in Hobart at beginning and end and will have 2 weeks in total. By the way we arrive Sunday and leave on the saturday so would miss Salamanca Markets which I would enjoy unless we can manage to work out a way to see them on middle weekend or maybe pick up van in launceston if we fly to there.
