Brisbane to Gold Coast shuttle bus transfer (return)

I am going to fly to Brisbane Australia from Auckland NZ but staying in Surfers Paradise Gold Coast for one week. Then have to go from surfers back to Brisbane airport to return to Auckland .

I got an online quote from www.con.x.ion.com and it's $86 aus return.

Is it cheaper to get on shuttle buses at Brisbane intl airport than book online?
We don't want to get a rental car as we are not keen to drive, we rather not catch the public bus/train either.

any suggestions would be most welcome.
