Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa
Has Anyone stayed at the Starwood's new Luxury Collection Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa? We have points, so is it worth it? We would like an OW Bungalow. How are beach(es), food, snorkeling, mosquitoes, etc. Looking at traveling in Nov.
Thx

this place was wonderful!!!
you should go check out this website

and click on "BEST Tahiti Forums and Bulletin Board" further down the page.
there's a 'wealth' of info on this resort as well as everything else you would ever want to know about french polynesia.
we stayed at the Nui back in june and had the time of our life there! it was really unbelievable! you need to request the Overwater Bungalow #109 - that's where we stayed - perfection!!
enjoy!

We stayed at the Bora Bora Lagoon Resort on our honeymoon and it was fantastic. But the Bora Bora Nui Resort looked great too. It's just a little futher from the main village of Vaitape.
However, why not use your SPG points at the Sheraton Moorea, which in our opinion, surpassed even the best of Bora Bora in terms of sheer beauty of the crystal clear waters and snorkeling. The snorkeling there puts that at Bora Bora to shame, with many beautiful fish, plentiful coral, and calm, clear, shallow waters of about four to six feet, which are perfect for anyone.

Good luck trying to use points at the Nui! Here is the scoop on points- I saw this on a frequent flyer forum.
STARWOOD POINTS
Level one is for a Beach Oceanfront Bungalow with a private balcony. The cost for this in Starpoints is 40,000 Starpoints per night during low season. During high season, it is 50,000 Starpoints per night. Fifth night free applies for either season.
Level two is for the Over-the-Water Bungalow that features its own swimming pontoon. The cost for this in Starpoints is 44,000 Starpoints per night during low season. During high season it is 62,500 Starpoints per night. Fifth night free applies for either season.
