Hi
I´m going in honeymoon in July to Polynesia, and i´m going to stay 3 days in Huaine, at Sofitel Heiva garden bungalow, in Bora Bora at Bora bora hotel, and in Peepeete at beachcomb parkroyal. What do you think about these hotels?
Do you have another suggestions?
Thanks
Pedro

Do you mean Bora Bora Hotel or Hotel Bora Bora? I've stayed at the latter, and I must say was not impressed for $675 US a night. The room never seemed completely clean, and the service was snarly at best. The location cannot be beat, though.
Don't get too excited about Tahiti -
overwater hotels have great locations,
but service, food, prices, things to do,
shopping, weather will be disappointing.
Bill - sorry you did not have a good time. We, on the other hand, had a wonderful time. Could not fit in all there was to do on each island we were on and had fantastic weather. Of course, we like to snorkel so that consumed a good bit of our time. Also, found the food great. Service was sometimes a bit slow but we didn't mind. Would go back in a minute.
I would recommend taking Bill's post with a grain of salt as it was his experience and not yours. I travel there frequently, and have had wonderful experiences. Much of this is based on which resort or hotel you choose. The Hotel Bora Bora and Tahiti Beachcomber on Papeete are both fine choices and highly recommended. Huahine is my favorite island. The Sofitel in Huahine is very nice, however in need of some renovation. I would recommend the Te Tiare Beach Resort instead although July may be booked. Have a wonderful time!
GT: you mentioned that you travel there frequently, have you been to moorea? my fiance and i are planning on going for our honeymoon to tahiti and moorea and would like to hear what you have to say. so far it looks like the beachcomber in moorea is the best choice for a hotel. do you agree?
thanks!
