Bicycle Traving - What not to do

So I've been to Tasmania. We were 2 of us, out in that little green island.
till now we were used to rent/buy a car so we could troll wherever we want.

now, Tasmania somehow got us to do some stupid decisions.like replacing the good old idea of getting a car - in getting a bicycle.

now i know that you think im a bit over reacting. a bicycle should be pretty fun to see what going on in a new place. that is true.

that's true if you are not planing to stay on that thing for 15 days!

OK, lessons i learned :

1- dont you ever (never) rent a bicycle.

2- do that only if there is no chance that you need to spend more then 4 hr on it.

3- if you did it anyway, in Aussie, always (always) bring a rain suit with you. (that ugly yellow
plastic cover on you, that you swear it smells like someone took it out of the trash)

4- if you ride on main road, go against the traffic. whatever you do, tourists find it attractive and start taking pictures of you - on the opposite way they don't have enough time for it.

that's it. if you have more questions or need advice how not (!) to rent a bicycle - please contact me :)

Cheers!
