Thanks for your comments James, I am glad to see people read these posts! <BR> <BR>I suggest flying into Cairns and to hire a car or transfer (bus / coach) to Port Douglas, or one of the Northern beaches which are spectacular, and most within 1 hours drive from Cairns city. <BR> <BR>If you are into adventure activities, the opportunities are endless in North Queensland. You can cruise to the outer Barrier Reef, White Water Raft, Hot Air Balloon, etc, etc.... <BR> <BR>If you want more suggestions just ask me, I love to help out potential visitors to our great country of Australia.... <BR> <BR>Adam.

Hi Adam, I've got a question about my passport. I am a Canadian citizen & I will be travelling to Australia from late April until May 16th. My passport expires on June 6, 2000. We are going to lizard island for a week, the Daintree rainforest for 4 days, Ayers rock for 3 days, and Sydney/Blue mountains for 4-5 days. We would like to go to one more place. Hi Kim, this isn't Adam but you asked whether you should go to Tasmania, Kangaroo Island or Phillip Island. Forget Phillip Island, it is okay for a day trip but not much else there. Tasmania is lovely, lots of great natural scenery and historical towns, great B&B's. Kangaroo Island is for those who love nature. <BR>Have fun.

Everything sounds so wonderful and we are trying to figure out where to fly into. Is Sydney the place to start?
