Apartment Hotel for 6 in Sydney?

I've been doing a little research for our five night stay in May in Sydney (part of a longer trip)

I'd love opinions from Fodorites on the Waldorf Apartments or one of the Mertin properties. The TripAdvisor reviews seem great.

Thanks

Oh yes, the place should be near the city or Darling Harbour. What do you think of the Quay?

Friends stayed in Meriton World Tower last year and found it very satisfactory & well located. It's not far from Darling Harbour - probably 5-10 mins walk

For Darling Harbour, you might have a look at Grand Mercure and Medina Grand Harbourside. www.wotif.com.au

I don't have personal experience of either of these, but most of the serviced apartments in the CBD are fairly new and of a good standard.

It seems that Grand Mercure and Medina Grand can not hold six people.

Meriton World Tower seems wonderful. Is it really only about a 10 minute walk to Darling Harbour? Do you know what the neighborhood near it is? What's a little complicated is that the first two nights it will only be me and hubs -- (that's when the three bedrooms average over $550 a night.) Once the rest grandparents and kids arrive the rates go down to a very manageable $295) I wonder if they have a one bedroom that attaches to a two bedroom that we could add later. Does anyone know about that?

Waldorf Apartments have great TripAdvisor ratings. However, I worry about the quality. Thoughts?

Of course, please offer your opinion if you think that I am going in the wrong direction and should focus on regular hotels instead.

Thanks,
