Airport Checkin Nadi, Fiji

A quick question that I hope someone can help with. We have an early flight leaving Nadi for New Zealand. It is at 8:45 AM.

The question is based on other travellers experiences what is the minimum check in time we should aim to have to make the flight comfortably. We are travelling with two toddlers so hanging around airports is not an attractive option.

The plane for the flight we are catching is only small. - 737-800 so there will not be that many passengers on our flight.

Would 1 to 1.5 hours be enough?

PS I know from other travellers and past experience that 8:45 is a luxury time to leave as a lot of flight leave Nadi about 2AM to fit in with other counties schedules. But last time I was there I honestly can't remember how long it took to check in and go through to departure. Something to do with it being 2AM.
