Accomodation recommendation in Queenstow

Hi,
I am looking for accommodation in Queenstown in December and have found a few budget motels.
1. Caples Court
2. Bellavista Queenstown
3. Gold Ridge
4. Lake Side Motel

If anybody has any experience with any of these motels could you please let me know. Any info on these motels will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

I can't comment on the Bella Vista in Queenstown but have stayed at other Bella Vista properties and found them all modern and clean with helpful staff. Rooms are on the small side but offer all you need for a good night's sleep.
We stayed in Queenstown last year at the Earnslaw Lodge - an older property but with exceptionally large rooms - ours had access to a balcony with views over Queenstown and the lake. It was ten minutes from the centre of town.

We've stayed at the Bella Vista in Queenstown, as well as in Oamarau and Franz Josef. It's a motel chain you'll see throughout both islands. We've found the motels well maintained, clean and comfortable, but some of the rooms we've had were a bit on the small side for us (we like our space). However, they offer a variety of room options.

The Bella Vista in Queenstown is well located on a quiet side street near the gondola, yet still a short walk to town.

On our first few trips to Queenstown, we had trouble finding lodging that was central, yet away from the road noise. The Bella Vista worked really well for us in this regard.

We always stay at the Heritage Hotel, it is very nice and often has specials.

Unfortunately we are 4 adults and so need a room that can accommodate 4 people. Since we will be there in December most of the places are pretty expensive at that time for 4 people. Our budget is about $200 per night and thus we came up with the places suggested above.

Thanks for all the replies so far. Hope to hear about the other motels.

Before you decide, it might be helpful to check the rates on wotif.com, and see how they compare with the ones you got.
