Your thoughts and research SE Asia

Jump to last reply

I recently asked a very narrow question regarding transport from BKk to Hanoi.
I'd like to expand and discuss more about Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos?

I'm in the very beginning stages of research and am trying to figure out distance, areas of interest, weather, cost of lodging, etc etc. Thus far it seems doable. Thus far,
unfortunately it appears that I'll have to fly in and out of Hanoi. It appears that we can get a semi inexpensive flight to Hanoi.
I'm thinking the end of Sept into Oct. - 3 weeks perhaps.

I'm enjoying the hunt but am finding that a lot of the info that I'm finding is outdated or contridictory. I also find that many of the trips I'm seeing are either high end or tour groups.
I don't mind a bit of each but am not bring my deep purse.
