My husband found (to him) an exciting Pacific Delight tour that includes the usual classic sites in India, but also about 7 days in national parks with game-viewing safari drives.
We are in our mid-sixties and I am very skeptical of driving deep into India from Khajuraho to Bandhavgarh to Kanha to Nagpur on such an adventursome trip. I am under the impression that much of India is quite poor and I am concerned that travel conditions and food outside of the major cities could be risky.
What do you think? I would appreciate some honest answers.
Wildlife Passage? in India

ktsharon,
As a general caveat, first-time travelers to India would do well to not do too much road travel at a stretch. Alright to do, say, a 4-5 hours road journey. Anything more and you are inviting fatigue. I wouldn't worry too much about food assuming you take the usual common sense precautions.
Is Corbett National Park one of the points on your itinerary? I haven't seen too many folks here go there.
most of the camps and hotels in these game parks are set up for tourists so all the facilities would be fine...
pacific delight is a great company and they would not take you to any place that is not safe or sanitary....
tell you husband to go on his own and you will meet him in munbai, delhi or jaipur....
Agtoau -- no don't see Corbett Nalt. Park listed. I don't know the length of the travel drives. Does anyone know the road conditions or how long it takes to go by van from Khajuraho to Bandhavgarh?
