Where would be best for my parents in Thailand next month?

My parents, in their mid 50's have been offered choices of hotels at either Patong Beach on Phuket ( the Baan Sukhotai or Duangjit Resort ) or in Hua Hin ( the Anantara Resort ) or in Cha Am ( the Regent ). Which do you think would be suitable in the current situation? ( I am probably a little more concerned than they are ). They just want to relax although they would like to enjoy some nice restaurants and they enjoy evening walks. Very glad for any tips or by any hope that anyone has been to these towns or the hotels.

Personally, I'd recommend the Hua Hin or Cha Am area rather than Phuket. I stayed at the Anantara last year and loved it. The lagoon rooms are beautiful! They also have a wonderful spa. Their restaurants are very good, or you can go into town.

I think Phuket is a fine place to vacation - they have plenty of choices other than Patong Beach. The current situation notwithstanding, Patong Beach is not the best place to relax. If they stay in a Beachfront hotel in Patong they will have traffic both on foot and by vehicle going past well into the late night.

I am going to be in Phuket in 12 days, and I won't be any place near Patong.

I am staying in Bangtao, then Kamala Bay, then Kata Noi.

I've not been to Hua Hin, or Cha Am, but I've read only good reports about them.

Wow, so fast! Thanks so much indeed. I hope I get some other messages, would be great to tell them this evening that I have all they need to know. Thanks again.

I think the Anantara Hua Hin without a doubt, should suit them nicely, amazing spa area and gardens, right on its own stretch of beach.
